Here at ONE®, we love connecting with our Momentum® Loyalty platform users to engage with our community of fiercely loyal brand fans, ambassadors, artists, and safer sex advocates. We recently sent out a request to our community to better understand what matters most to them when choosing a condom, so we can spotlight some of their most-loved ONE® condom styles. Because choosing a condom isn’t just about safety – it’s about comfort, pleasure, and personal preference, too. Whether it’s the ultra thin sensation of our Vanish Hyperthin®, the playful textures of Super Studs™, or the superior heat transfer of Flex®, our community is sharing what they love and why in this blog post!

ONE® partners with communities around the world to expand access to condoms and lubricants, collaborate with artists, and support creative and educational initiatives all with a goal of reducing stigma around condom usage and making safer sex more accessible, inclusive, and community driven. To better understand preferences, we surveyed our community members to ask about their favorite condom styles, specs, and what matters the most when choosing one. 

What Our Community Values Most

Condoms are more than just a protective barrier. They’re a tool for autonomy, care, and pleasure. Asking our Momentum® community about their favorite styles helps normalize conversations about sexual health, sheds light on what people value most, and ensures the condoms we provide match what users are most likely to enjoy and actually use for protection. We asked our ONE® community to rank what matters most when choosing a condom and the top two priorities might surprise you:

Eco-friendliness, ingredients, and materials ranked the highest priority for users, while condom feel and texture followed up as the second most important factor, with condom fit following closely behind as a third runner up. So how do these priorities show up in the condoms our community uses? These priorities don’t just reflect preferences—they shape how we design our condoms at ONE®, from the materials we use to the way they feel and fit.

Some community members also highlighted how partners and preferences influence choice:

When it comes down to condom fit, we’re the experts at understanding that the standard condom size does not fit all. That’s why we offer our MyONE® Custom Fit® condoms with 52 sizes (10 lengths and 9 widths!), MyONE® was designed to address to most common condom fit challenges, such as condom slippage, squeezing, bunching, and erection loss when condoms are too tight.  MyONE provides a personal experience so users can find a condom that feels comfortable, secure, and made to fit their body while protecting themselves. 

As one community member who is also a Youth Navigator puts it: “I see condoms as more than just a barrier method — they’re a way for young people to protect themselves and their partners while honoring their bodies, identities, and choices. I feel that condoms can play an important role in reducing the risk of HIV and other STIs across many types of sex."

Sourcing ONE®: How Our Community Acquires Condoms

Where people get their condoms says a lot about accessibility, habits, and preferences. In our survey from our ONE® community, 44% of participants reported getting condoms through clinics, campus health centers, or local community organizations, highlighting how important these local resources are. About 30% of the community purchases condoms in person at a pharmacy, grocery store, campus store, or other retail location, showing that many people prefer to see and select their product directly. Online purchases accounted for 17% of responses, reflecting the convenience and privacy that online shopping provides. The remaining 9% access condoms through other channels, from friends to community giveaways and other sources.

These results highlight how important it is to have condoms available through different channels so that everyone can access the products that fit their needs and preferences.

Community Favorite ONE® Styles

Now for the fun part: what condom styles do our users love the most? The survey made it clear: our community has strong opinions, and they’re not shy about why sharing certain styles are their top picks.

Thin condoms like ONE® Flex® and Vanish Hyperthin® were the clear favorite for those who prioritize sensation and closeness. These styles reflected what users prefer the most: the “barely there” skin-to-skin natural feeling. One community member said it best: “I prefer to feel as though there isn’t a condom on; as skin-to-skin feeling I can get!”

Why These Conversations Matter

Talking about condom preferences might seem simple, but it opens a door to bigger conversations about sexual health, consent, and pleasure. One survey response captured it beautifully: 

“I love that with condoms I am free to experience pleasure while reducing my exposure to life-threatening illnesses and unwanted pregnancies.”

Condoms are a tool for autonomy and choice. They allow people to make decisions about their bodies, their pleasure, and sexual health, all while staying safe. Trying different styles is another key priority. Exploring new textures, thicknesses, and designs can enhance both pleasure and comfort, helping users find what works best for them and their partners. Accessibility and fit are critical for consistent condom use. When condoms are easy to access through community organizations, retail locations, or online and available in a comfortable fitting size that doesn’t cause discomfort, users are more likely to use condoms regularly and confidently.

Finally, eco-conscious options matter to many in the community. Products made with sustainable materials and packaging allow users to care for the planet while caring for themselves, reflecting a growing desire for environmentally responsible sexual health choices.
