HAPPY
FORESKIN
DAY

On this April the 4th, we celebrate the unsung hero of penises around the world.

WHY ARE WE CELEBRATING FORESKIN DAY?

At ONE® Condoms we love education and providing resources for people to find their perfect condom. Inspired by customer questions, we started to dive deep into foreskin education – and quickly realized the “Foreskin Gap” in safer sex education, visuals, and resources. On Foreskin Day, and every day after, we’re celebrating body positivity, providing educational resources, and bringing foreskin conversations to the (dinner) table.

FORESKIN SURVEY:
LET’S TALK FORESKIN

It’s always important for us to bring expert voices to the table, including our customers! ONE® sent out a survey in February to help inform our foreskin resources and we received over 1,000 responses! Add your voice to the conversation below!

“There's definitely a stupid stigma associated with having a foreskin, so there's always that. And because it's so common to be circumcised in America, many partners don't know how to work with it, usually ending in them being WAY too rough and causing pain”
“The head of an uncut man is more sensitive than a circumcised man, so be gentler; focus on areas like the ridge of the dick head and play gently with the frenulum, where the foreskin attaches to the head, etc.”
“Speaking as an American, the most important thing that helped me was learning that foreskins are not weird, dirty, or ugly. Bullying is a problem for some people with foreskins, especially in younger ages, and this can cause lasting trauma that affects us when we start having sex. It is important to explain that foreskins are functional, provide pleasure, and look awesome!”
“People need to know that foreskin makes no negative effect on sex, and it makes masturbation simpler actually.”
“The most important thing is educating people on how to put on a condom with foreskin. I was very confused the first time I put on the condom, I didn't know if I had to retract first or not.”

REDUCING STIGMA

A cornerstone of the ONE® Condoms mission is promoting physical and emotional health by encouraging open conversations about sex and sexuality. That’s why we were very disheartened by the survey stat that found 33% of people with a foreskin have been treated differently by a sexual partner because of their natural ‘hoodie’. Read more about what our customers have experienced and how we’re working to change the narrative below.

MYONE® CUSTOM FIT™

Unsurprisingly our foreskin survey friends said the best condom is the best fitting one! Our MyONE® line has 52 condom sizes, including 10 lengths and 9 girths. We also updated our Measuring Instructions based on the feedback from our foreskin survey.

PENIS MEASURING TIPS: FORESKIN EDITION

Before this research, we recommended people with foreskins add an extra length letter to their MyONE® Custom Fit™ FitCode, but now we know that doesn’t work for most people. Our advice: Measure your penis in the state it will be in while using the condom. If you retract your foreskin while using a condom, make sure you measure with it retracted. Similarly, if you have a longer foreskin and you do not retract it, make sure to include it in your measurements.

As always, reach out to our Size Specialist Superhero Cosmo if you have any questions.

MOVE®

In our survey, people with foreskins reported that adding extra lubricant to the inside of the condom prior to use enhances pleasure and reduces friction between the condom and their foreskin.
