Put on your gloves! In December 2016 the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs' LGBT Resource Center, Wellness Center, and Dean of Students Office collaborated with ONE to host its second ever Project CONDOM fashion show.

Hosted in conjunction with Red Ribbon Campaign Week, the condom fashion show helped raise awareness for HIV and AIDS and generate conversation around condom-use amongst students at the university.

Despite heavy snow and frigid temperatures, nearly 50 members of the UCCS community attended the event. Six different teams participated in the show, each of which created a unique condom garment paired with a message pertaining to sexual health.

Jesse Perez, Assistant Director of the University's Multicultural Office for Student Access Inclusiveness and Community and Program Director of the LGBT+ Resource Center, and his partner Katie Gordon, Wellness Promotion Coordinator for UCCS, together helped coordinate the event. Both were impressed by the teams' innovative designs, as well as the crowd's fantastic energy.

"[We] felt that we achieved our goal of providing both a fun and educational program," said Perez.

During the upcoming year, Perez hopes to host another Project CONDOM at UCCS. Our team here at ONE can't wait!
