Protest Art is a heavy metal EDM fusion created by Samuel Ashkenazy. It combines elements of trance, hardstyle, and melodic dubstep with grinding industrial guitars. Where Protest Art really shines is in its story telling and lyrics, where they lament the evils of big tech and political greed. Built around making a community for the marginalized, and giving them a mosh pit to work out their deepest anxieties, Protest Art is music for the people, by the people, and because of the people. It’s about making music with purpose, while one might not be able to change the world with a song, as Dylan would say, but maybe they can change just one person in the crowd one night.
