When it comes to design, Matthew is a process driven, big-picture perfectionist. He contemplates every aspect of a product, from functionality, look-and-feel, branding, marketing, as well as social and ethical values—driven by an obsession to understand the difference between influences, inspiration, motivation and how this shapes the work of all creatives. This obsession has recently given rise to a new level of clarity in his work and an understanding of how it contributes to a “Universal Language.” With his brand Nooka, Matthew has created a system that transcends linguistic and cultural barriers.
